It’s heartbreaking to see your pet feeling ill enough to require emergency care. We know that these situations can be stressful, and we will do everything we can to ensure your pet is seen in a timely manner and your concerns are addressed. Our highly trained staff in our ICU ward are prepared to act quickly to stabilize your pet and provide an environment of continued care and recovery to help your pet feel 100% again. If your pet is truly experiencing an emergency, our staff will work diligently to ensure they are seen by one of our skilled veterinarians as quickly as possible. We understand that this is a troubling time, and we will try to update you and provide a treatment plan as quickly as possible. These first few critical moments give our veterinarians an opportunity to assess and correct for life-threatening conditions such as:

  • Extreme high or low changes in body temperature, heart rate or blood pressure
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Loss of large volumes of blood internally or externally
  • Severe dehydration, shock, pain or trauma
  • Signs of toxin ingestion or envenomation
  • Seizures, bloating or allergic reactions

As soon as we have gathered this vital information, we will work closely with you to get your pet the tests, treatment and care they need.
