Slide Whether it’s for preventive or treatment measures, many pets will need to undergo surgery at some point in their lives. West Park Animal Hospital’s surgical suite is equipped to handle a number of soft tissue (doesn’t involve bone) pet surgeries, keeping your pet’s health at the forefront. We maintain the highest standards with our surgical services, so you can be confident that your pet will be in good hands with our doctors and staff. Our suite features separate areas for preparation, surgery, and recovery as well as the latest monitoring equipment. We monitor each patient before, during, and after every procedure we perform.

Prior to admitting your pet, we’ll take time to discuss the planned surgical procedure and address any questions or concerns you have. We want to make sure that you are educated about the procedure to be performed and that your family member’s needs and comforts are addressed. Please make sure you have a list of all supplements and medications that your pet is taking. This allows us to create an anesthetic plan that’s appropriate for your pet. Pre-anesthetic blood work is performed prior to every procedure to maximize safety by assessing organ function.
