Urgent & Emergency Veterinary Care

When your pet experiences a sudden illness or injury, it can be a stressful and emotional situation. As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive care for our patients, we offer urgent and emergency veterinary evaluations for established clients during regular business hours, subject to doctor availability and current hospital caseload.

Because we are not a dedicated emergency hospital, we cannot guarantee immediate availability for every emergency situation. If your pet requires urgent medical attention, we encourage you to call our team as soon as possible so we can assess the situation and determine whether we are able to see your pet or if referral to a local emergency facility would be the best option.

Our experienced veterinary team is equipped to evaluate and stabilize many urgent medical conditions, including:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe vomiting or diarrhea
  • Seizures
  • Suspected toxin ingestion
  • Allergic reactions
  • Trauma or injury
  • Sudden weakness or collapse
  • Significant pain or discomfort
  • Abnormal changes in body temperature, heart rate, or blood pressure
  • Bloat or abdominal distention
  • Excessive bleeding or suspected internal bleeding

When appropriate, our team can provide diagnostics, treatment, monitoring, and supportive care to help stabilize your pet and guide the next steps in their recovery. We understand that urgent situations can be overwhelming, and we strive to communicate clearly, provide timely updates, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your pet’s needs.

If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency and we are unable to accommodate your visit, we will help direct you to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital for immediate care.

After-Hours Emergency Care

If your pet requires emergency care outside of our regular business hours, please contact BluePearl Pet Hospital at (813) 933-8944.
