Erin Hyde, DVM
Dr. Erin Hyde is originally from Dallas, Texas, where she first decided to be a veterinarian at roughly the age of 6. For her undergraduate degree, she attended college in Auburn, Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences from Auburn University in 2008. Deciding to take a break from school, Dr. Hyde traveled to Lexington, Kentucky, where she worked on a Thoroughbred breeding farm for 6 months, then returned home to Dallas to further her practical experience working as a veterinary technician. She continued her education at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She has worked in the Tampa Bay area since graduation.
Dr. Hyde’s professional interests include internal medicine and dermatology. She also continues to further her education and training through advanced courses in ultrasound diagnostics and dentistry. Dr. Hyde and her husband, Sean, share their home with their two goofy rescue dogs Sullivan (“Sully”) and Fig, pictures of whom you can see on the walls of our lobby! In her down time, Dr. Hyde enjoys traveling, getting outside with the pups (or a good book), visiting Tampa Bay’s many craft breweries, and of course, Auburn Football.
*Fun fact: Dr. Hyde was an active member of the Auburn University Marching Band all four years of undergrad, never missed a home Auburn Football game, and visited nearly every stadium in the SEC- the exceptions being Vanderbilt and Mizzou.
